At Fan Expo Boston, Hayden Christensen made it clear that his time in a galaxy far, far away might not be over. The actor, who returned to Star Wars as Anakin Skywalker in Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ahsoka, said he would “one hundred percent” reprise the role of Anakin or Darth Vader in a future project following Ahsoka season 2.

“I would love to, yes,” Christensen told fans. “If the powers that be decide that’s something that they want to see, I would be there in a heartbeat.”
Christensen shared that one of the eras he’s especially interested in revisiting is the Clone Wars period, citing the potential for “fun stories” that could be told there. He added that teaming up with longtime co-star Ewan McGregor for more lightsaber action “would be amazing.”
Beyond Anakin’s Jedi years, Christensen is equally eager to explore the darker side of the character’s legacy. “I think there’s some good, meaty stuff there to explore still,” he said about Darth Vader’s timeline. The actor expressed full support for a Vader-centric spin-off, reiterating that he would gladly return to delve deeper into both the heroic and villainous chapters of the character’s life.
Christensen also spoke about his continued evolution in portraying Anakin. Appearing at Star Wars Celebration alongside Ahsoka star Rosario Dawson, he confirmed his return for season 2 and reflected on his growing connection to the role. “My understanding of the character is just continuing to grow,” he said. “We’re getting to explore different sides of Anakin, which I’m really enjoying. I’m just enjoying the journey.”
He emphasized the complexity of Anakin’s character and his excitement at playing the “more heroic side” in Ahsoka, while still recognizing the depth and darkness that defines Vader.
While Lucasfilm has not announced any official plans for a Vader series or additional Anakin-led projects, Christensen’s enthusiasm signals he’s ready for more. With Ahsoka season 2 on the horizon, fans will soon get another chance to see him in action—and perhaps, in time, even more stories from both the light and dark sides of the Force.
