Star Wars fans, prepare to relive one of the saga’s most defining moments on the big screen. Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith is returning to theaters on April 25 to celebrate its 20th anniversary. Along with the re-release, Lucasfilm has unveiled a striking new poster by artist Matt Ferguson, featuring Darth Vader, Emperor Palpatine, and the fiery landscape of Mustafar.

For the first time ever, the 2005 film will also be available in 4DX, a fully immersive format that enhances the viewing experience with moving seats, wind, and rain effects. While the fiery duel between Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) and Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) may not come with actual flames in the theater, the added sensory elements promise to make the action feel more intense than ever.
Originally released as the epic conclusion to George Lucas’s Star Wars prequel trilogy, Revenge of the Sith chronicles Anakin Skywalker’s tragic fall to the dark side and the rise of the Galactic Empire. The film was a massive box office success, grossing $868.4 million worldwide and becoming the highest-grossing film of 2005. It also earned strong reviews, with a 79% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes and an A- CinemaScore from audiences.
Starring McGregor, Christensen, Natalie Portman, and Ian McDiarmid, Revenge of the Sith remains a fan-favorite. Now, two decades later, audiences can experience its heartbreak, action, and unforgettable moments once again in theaters.
