Star Wars Scores 22 Children’s & Family Emmy Nominations Across Three Series

The Force was buzzing with excitement across the galaxy on the morning of November 19, as the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences released its nominations for the 2025 Children’s and Family Emmy Awards. For Star Wars fans of every age, it felt like a celebration long in the making. Three very different corners of the galaxy — Skeleton Crew, Young Jedi Adventures, and LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy — had earned a combined 22 nominations, marking one of the franchise’s strongest showings yet in the family categories.

Leading the charge was Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, the coming-of-age adventure series starring Jude Law as the enigmatic Jod Na Nawood. The eight-episode mini-series landed an impressive 17 nominations, including some of the night’s biggest honors: “Outstanding Young Teen Series,” “Outstanding Lead Performer” for Law, and “Outstanding Younger Performer” for Ravi Cabot-Conyers. Behind-the-scenes talent also shone, with nods for writing, directing, cinematography, editing, sound, set design, costumes, visual effects, and even stunt coordination — a testament to the series’ cinematic ambition.

Meanwhile, a very different kind of hero was celebrating. Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures earned four nominations, including a first-ever Children’s Emmy nomination for voice legend Dee Bradley Baker, recognized for bringing both Nubs and Zeepohz to life. The preschool series — set centuries before the Skywalker Saga — also picked up nominations for directing, editing, and sound.

Rounding out the celebrations was LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy, nominated for “Outstanding Sound Mixing and Sound Editing.” It marks the second time a LEGO Star Wars special has been honored in this category, continuing a fun and irreverent tradition within the galaxy far, far away.

Across live action, animation, and brick-built mischief, Star Wars proved once again that its stories — and its storytellers — stand tall in every medium.
