Production has officially wrapped on Ahsoka Season 2, marking the end of a five-month shoot for one of Star Wars’ most anticipated returns. The confirmation came straight from the cast, with Sabine Wren actress Natasha Liu Bordizzo sharing a touching behind-the-scenes image on Instagram showing her and Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka silhouetted against a glowing set light—two Jedi figures side by side, still walking the same path. She thanked the people of Richmond, U.K., for their hospitality throughout filming, where the series was primarily shot at Pinewood Studios.

Shortly after, Ivanna Sakhno, who portrays the complex and fan-favorite Shin Hati, posted her own farewell image outside Pinewood, sealing the deal: Ahsoka Season 2 is officially in the can.
Filming began in late April, just after Star Wars Celebration Japan, where showrunner Dave Filoni and star Rosario Dawson revealed exciting details about the second season. Filoni confirmed Hayden Christensen’s return as Anakin Skywalker and announced that Game of Thrones alum Rory McCann would take over the role of Baylan Skoll following the passing of Ray Stevenson. The new season is said to pit Ahsoka and her allies against Grand Admiral Thrawn in what’s being described as an all-out galactic war, with none other than Admiral Ackbar leading the charge.
Fans were also treated to concept art teasing the return of Zeb Orrelios—reuniting the beloved Star Wars Rebels crew. Returning cast members include Eman Esfandi, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Lars Mikkelsen, David Tennant, and, of course, Sakhno. Behind the camera, an impressive directing lineup has been confirmed: Bryce Dallas Howard, Jennifer Getzinger, Anders Engström, and Filoni himself, who also penned all eight episodes.
With filming complete, attention now turns to post-production as Ahsoka readies for its Season 2 debut on Disney+ in 2026—likely mirroring the late-summer release window of its predecessor. After wrapping this chapter, Filoni will turn his focus to his long-planned feature film, set to bring together threads from The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, Skeleton Crew, and Ahsoka in a grand MandoVerse finale.
