Rare Star Wars and Indy Collectibles Up For Auction

A remarkable collection of iconic Hollywood memorabilia is heading to auction this July, and fans of Star Wars and Indiana Jones will find several legendary items up for grabs.

Among the standout pieces in Heritage Auctions’ Hollywood/Entertainment Signature Auction (July 16–18) is a screen-used X-wing miniature flown by Luke Skywalker in The Empire Strikes Back. This collectible, central to the Star Wars mythos, is joined by another prized relic: a screen-used Snowspeeder, previously owned by the late Carrie Fisher herself. These items are expected to generate immense interest from collectors and Star Wars enthusiasts alike, capturing the franchise's enduring cultural impact.

In a crossover from a galaxy far, far away to the adventurous world of archaeology, the auction will also feature Indiana Jones' bullwhip from The Last Crusade. This particular whip carries royal provenance—it was gifted to then-Prince Charles by Harrison Ford and the film’s producers during the Royal Charity Premiere of the film in London on June 27, 1989. Later, it was passed along by Princess Diana, making it a uniquely storied item that links cinematic and royal history.

Heritage Auctions’ Executive VP Joe Maddalena emphasized the significance of the event, calling it "one of the most important in auction history," adding that these pieces are more than props—they are "mythic objects" representing Hollywood’s greatest moments.

This blockbuster auction is shaping up to be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for fans and collectors to own tangible pieces of Star Wars and Indiana Jones legacy, blending screen history with cultural mythology. The event underscores the timeless allure of both franchises, just as they continue to evolve with new entries in film and television.
