Jeremy Allen White may be trading the chaos of The Bear for a galaxy far, far away. During a lively appearance on The Graham Norton Show, the Deliver Me from Nowhere star confirmed rumors that he will voice a grown-up Rotta the Hutt—Jabba’s once-infamous “Stinky”—in next year’s The Mandalorian and Grogu film.

Pointing to a photo of Jabba, White grinned and said, “That’s dad,” before hinting at what fans can expect. “I just do voice work in the film,” he said. “He’s a bit broader than Jabba, but still a Hutt. It’s kinda like him and the Mandalorian running around for a lot of the movie together.”
Host Graham Norton quickly seized on the image, asking, “Rotta can run?” White laughed: “Rotta can move, yeah. Quickly, yes!”
That small exchange has set off a wave of speculation across Star Wars fandom. The trailer already revealed a far more athletic Rotta, with muscle tone and mobility that recall another physically active Hutt—Grakkus—from The Clone Wars. Unlike his sluggish father, this new generation seems built for action.
Perhaps most intriguing, White’s comments suggest Rotta may not follow in Jabba’s villainous footsteps. With the Hutt twins from The Book of Boba Fett also confirmed to appear, many believe they’ll serve as the film’s antagonists, attempting to reclaim their family’s criminal throne from the now-adult Rotta. Others speculate that “Stinky” might actually reject the underworld altogether, finding an unlikely ally in Din Djarin and Grogu as he escapes a legacy he never wanted.
Whatever the case, the prospect of a fast-moving, morally complex Hutt teaming up with Mando promises one of the strangest and most exciting pairings in Star Wars history. We’ll find out how far this new Hutt can run when The Mandalorian and Grogu lands in theaters on May 22, 2026.
